I am ArnabBhattacharya.Apart from being an engineer in Computer Science and Engg, I am anIndian Classical Musician. I am deeply involved into music for last 23 years.Istarted taking training in Sarod at a very tender age from Pandit BuddhadevDasgupta and became a talented torch bearer at Senia Shahjahanpur Gharana. I amreally looking forward for an opportunity to teach music.

 Musical Profile:

· I startedlearning sarod at a very tender age from my father Mr. Swapan Bhattacharya andthen I came under the guidance of Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta.

· It was underthe guidance of my guru that I achieved perfection and learnt the richrepertoire of Senia Sahajahanpur Gharana.

· My musicis an excellent blend of traditional and modern form of Indian Classical musicwhich sets apart as a youth face of the Indian classical music that connects toall the generations alike. And this has been possible owing to the uniqueability to weave the most intricate textures even at extremely high speedmaintaining the purity of the Raga which is definitely unparallel. With thispassion and dedication for music coupled with knowledge of all Gharanas andtheir judicious application in his performances.

 ACHIEVEMENTS:

· I completed“Sangeet Prabhakar“ degree from Allahabad University in 1999.

· I wasawarded in many talent search contests in India including Arabindo MusicFestival, Ankit Talent Search Contests,All India Music Competition etc.

· Was awardedas “Sarod Sunder “ from Orissa in the year of 2005,"Sarod Nayak"award in the year 2007,"Nabin Sarod "in the year 2009.

· I hadsuccessfully participated at several prestigious stages in India and abroadincluding Salt Lake Cultural Association, Bhowanipur Sangeet SammilaneeKolkata, Ramakrishna Mission Bangalore and Bhubaneswar, Rajya Sangeet Academy,Raja Rani Festival,All India Music Festival, Lucknow Music Festival, Goa MusicFestival,World Music Festival,Geneva Drums and Music Festival,Music Coire,Texasetc.

In 2009 he wasinvited by the University of Geneva, Switzerland for lecture demonstration inIndia Classical Music and for participating in Seminars, workshop on WorldMusic.

· I alsoawarded as an official member of a Western Band called AROY.

· I gavebackground music to many documentary films, which is well acclaimed in Indiaand abroad.

· I engaged inteaching many students in Indian Classical Music in India and Abroad

· I am alsoa regular artist of AII India Radio and Doordarshan
